The annual North Central Florida Turfgrass Field Day is a two day event held in Gainesville and at the Plant Science Research & Education Unit's G.C. Horn Research Plots in Citra. Presenters provide research-based recommendations on topic areas ranging from nutrient management, pest control, and sports field management.

Florida Field

This view of Florida Field, home of the 2006 and 2008 BCS National Champions, is centered at approximately the 45 yard line. The capacity of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, also known as "The Swamp," is 88,548. Florida Field is usually resodded every February with Tiffway 419.

Turfgrass Field Laboratory

The annual Turfgrass Field Day at the G.C. Horn Turfgrass Field Laboratory in Citra. This provides a view of the several turfgrass research plots located at the Plant Science Research & Education Unit. The Turfgrass Field Laboratory facility has 29 acres of turfgrass research plots on golf course, athletic field, and home lawn grasses.
